Affordable homes for local people

Lyme Regis Community Land Trust

The Situation

Local People Need Affordable Homes to be able to Live Where They Work

The Jurassic Coast is internationally renowned. But with that success comes increasing pressure on local housing for tourism, second homes and investment.

The very qualities that make Lyme Regis, Uplyme and Charmouth such desirable places can make it difficult for local people to remain part of the community they serve and belong to.

Without affordable housing, families, key workers, young people and older residents can find themselves priced out of the places they call home.

Lyme Regis Community Land Trust was established to help address that challenge and support thriving, sustainable communities for future generations.
